Violin, Viola, Piano, Ukulele, Flute
Ms. Cassandra Zimmerman had a pretty normal start to her music career. She started playing the flute in fifth grade, then the viola in sixth grade and quickly craved to learn more. Ms. Zimmerman initially taught herself how to play the violin and has had a love of learning music ever since.
Ms. Zimmerman has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Westminster College. Here she studied violin along with Scottish fiddling with Dr. Melinda Crawford Perttu. Her Westminster journey started in 2015 when she was asked to be a guest in the Symphony Orchestra. To this day, she continues to be a community member and looks forward to making music in group settings.
Outside of music, Ms. Zimmerman enjoys reading with a nice cup of coffee or tea, along spending time with friends, family and her cat, Damon. She also would like to get back into competitive archery.
