Skip Cooper

James “Skip” Cooper has been playing guitar for 56 years.

He received his BA from Pitt where he had the pleasure of studying with Joe Negri. He has played with many local bands and spent 3 years travelling with a show band “The Two of Us”.

He returned to Pittsburgh in 1998 and has been teaching at Noteworthy Music since 2003.

His favorite guitarists are Chet Atkins, Les Paul, and John Mayer.
Skip teaches all fretted instruments, plugged or unplugged, (including the ukulele!) and we at Noteworthy Music are lucky to have him!
