ROBIN HASENPFLUG
Cello

Cellist Robin Hasenpflug began her cello studies at age 9 in Western New York. She holds a Master of Music degree in cello performance from the Universityof Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree in performance from the Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory.

Robin attributes her methods of teaching cello to her own private lessons with master cellists such as Regina Mushabac, Lee Fiser, Eric Kim and Hans Christian Schweiker. She earned her Suzuki Book 1 and “Every Child Can” certifications from the Chicago Suzuki Institute with renown Suzuki instructor, Barbara Wampner. (continued below)

Robin enjoys performing as a chamber musician, soloist and orchestral player. She is the principal cellist of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra and second chair cellist of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. Robin has also served as acting principal cellist of the Ohio Valley Symphony, and is an adjunct cello professor at Westminster College. In the 2018-19 season, she will participate in the Magisterra Soloists’ chamber music series and tour based in London, Ontario.

Robin has lived in Western Pennsylvania for 11 years and has taught at Noteworthy for 5 years. She currently resides in her beloved city of Pittsburgh with her husband, percussionist Andy Hasenpflug and their son, Jude.
