Tanner Davis
Saxophone, Clarinet, Guitar, Piano
Tanner Davis is a multi-instrumentalist from Charleston, West Virginia. He started on piano at the age of 6, and throughout his educational career gained experience with guitar, saxophone, clarinet, and flute. He holds degrees from West Virginia University in Music Performance (emphasis in jazz saxophone) and Jazz Pedagogy.
Tanner has traveled the tri-state area bringing live music to elementary, middle, and high school students in often remote places. Since 2013, he has been active in cover bands, jazz ensembles, Latin groups, funk bands, rock bands and more in the Pittsburgh and Morgantown areas.
Gravitating towards the jazz tradition, he hopes to help educate and give back to a community that has fostered so many of the great musicians he loves. Some of his influences are saxophonists such as Stan Getz, George Garzone, and Hank Mobley.
