Jim grew up with Noteworthy Music. He spent many afternoons as a child playing with his brother and sisters in the original store in Bakerstown, and saw the hard work and care of his parents, Bob and Janet, as they grew Noteworthy Music.

After college, where he majored in business administration, Jim spent a few years in the corporate world. In 2013 he came back home to help with the family business, and he took over daily operations full time the next year.
